Baptismal Dress

Back in 2011 while I was pregnant with Juliana, I knit a beautiful baptism outfit, Sweet Child of Mine. I brought it with me to Michigan with the hope that I would find a little dress to go with it for Lucia's baptism. Well, I finally had to admit it wasn't to be found this week. And I really wanted the perfect dress to go with it. So, I opened my computer and looked at my sewing files. I found the Geranium Dress pattern (Made by Rae) that I bought quite a while ago, but hadn't done. This was perfect. But I needed some material. I had a vintage sheet that was perfect for a practice dress. I made one for Lucia and one for Juliana on Thursday and Friday. That was enough practice to give me courage to cut into the most beautiful material. My good friend Mary's mother made this beautiful pillow case many years ago. It couldn't be any more perfect. It was the exact same shade of cream. After a day of sewing, the results:
