Learning to Relax

It was a beautiful beach day at the Marina today with friends. It had been a while since we enjoyed the sand and waves, so that made it even nicer. I've learned to relax more and stay longer at the beach. I used to feel like we needed to do it and get cleaned up and go home. Now I make sure I've got a chair and I kick back and let the play happen. Pieter loves to dig in the sand. He could do it all day. It is always sad for him to leave. He is never ready. Ben has been collecting sea glass more and more. That tends to occupy him for quite a while. But the really big news is that Pieter has perfected the use of his snorkel mask and can swim under water very well. He started doing it in the pool at home and today was his first day in the ocean. He dove again and again for rocks in the water.

Little Things

Little drops of water,
Little grains of sand,
Make the mighty ocean
And the pleasant land.

Little deeds of kindness
Little words of love,
Make our world an Eden
Like the Heaven above.
