As the day winds down, here are a few thoughts.
I'm moving to the area with my two toddler aged kids (3.5, 1.5) this summer. I plan to start our homeschool curriculum once we settle in to our new place. We'll be living on the west side of the island. Do you know of any school supplies stores on the west side? I'm wondering if I should bring my own manipulative activities/supplies, or if I can purchase them once I arrive. Thanks for your help! I enjoy your blog! Emily
Hi Emily, in general each town has a school supply store in it. These contain basic office supplies and small activity books in Spanish that, I believe, are what need to be purchased by parents for public schools. I would bring whatever you possibly can. Most of what I buy is usually from stores online. There are no big block craft stores here, either, so that makes it a bit harder with doing crafts with your kids. You can find some small craft stores, but nothing like Michaels or Hobby Lobby.
Thank you! That's helpful. I'll plan to pack everything I can fit! Thanks again.
What a creative way to help the kidlets learn! And it looks like they love books from your other postings.
