{La Mina Waterfalls}

We drove to the east side of the island today to explore El Yunque National Forest and Old San Juan before Mary leaves for the cold north. The drive across the island definitely takes longer than you think it will, so we didn't have as much time in the forest as we would have liked, but our hike to La Mina Waterfalls was just the right amount of time for the kids. Since we were headed to the rainforest, we brought rainboots and the kids were so excited! To wear something other than flip flops after six months is a big deal. And everyone walking by had a little bit of rainboot envy. And this mama was pretty happy to keep the mud on the boots, especially when we made it back to the car.
