Paschal Full Moon

Today is the Paschal Full Moon, the first full moon after the Vernal Equinox. The First Council of Nicaea determined that the next Sunday after the Paschal Full Moon would be Easter. I love that these people, like the pagans, were also drenched in the natural world and used the cycles of the sun and earth to determine when we would celebrate the Risen Christ. It is a good thing celebrate the seasons, solstices, and equinoxes, along with our Christian celebrations. It is important to be a part of the world that we exist in and to see and be aware of the changes in the earth's cycle, that God created.
