We woke up yesterday to a coating of ice over everything. Our plan had been to drive down to Colorado to visit our friends Andy and Laurel. We decided to push off the trip for one day, but as the day slightly warmed up, we changed our mind and left in the afternoon. As we drove down through Wyoming, we couldn't see a thing through a mass of fog. Snow greeted us as we reached Denver, showing a winter wonderland in the city lights. This morning the sun came out to melt much of the snow. A wonderful part of our visit here in Colorado is coffee at Sweet Bloom! Andy and Laurel moved back to Colorado last summer to start a coffee roasting business and it was so much fun to see the place this morning and enjoy some of Andy's coffee. This afternoon we headed south of the city to hike at Chatfield State Park. Geese, ducks and crows were everywhere, enjoying the sunshine. A beautiful day and we are so glad to be here!
