Now that spring appears to be trying to make it's entrance to our corner of the world, we are finally seeing the song birds flocking to our feeders in the backyard. Someone else noticed this, too. We had a special backyard visitor today, a Sharp-shinned Hawk. It didn't score any lunch, this time, but it has before. One winter ago, just a few days before Juliana was born, a Sharp-shinned Hawk enjoyed a dove in the backyard. It flew at the Mourning Dove, which flew into Pieter's window and died. I went out to see what happened when I heard the thunk and took the photos. Later on, I went out and only saw the feathers. I guess that is what happens in our world.
