Pattern: Pebble
Yarn: O-Wool Balance, Vermont Organic Fiber Company
Needles: US 7

During our trip to Michigan this summer I knit up this little vest. What an easy knit and such a nice warm vest for a little one during these colder days. The yarn is a blend of cotton and merino, making a soft finished knit, perfect for babes. I love how this came out and I especially like the blend of this yarn.

I upsized the pattern to a 6-12 months size by:
  • using worsted weight yarn,
  • using a larger needle size (7 instead of 4),
  • increased the body by ten rows (and one buttonhole), and
  • added 4 more rows to all the shoulder/strap pieces.
Juliana has been wearing it quite a bit as of late. She is very proud of her new skill - climbing up into her little chair.
